“Turn the other cheek” or to be as exact as we can be, “But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also”, (Mathew 5:39 of some Bible).

Sounds so reasonable doesn’t it, I mean Jesus himself allegedly said it, so it can’t be in any way negative or bad, surely. So many people will repeat the abridged phrase at you, whenever you are, or have been in a situation where you are being abused, or even attacked.

The books that the phrase comes from, The (or rather one or more of many versions of ‘The’) Bible we are taught from an early age as children brought up in what claims to be, a ‘Christian’ country, is the teachings of ‘God’ that have been passed to ‘man’, (meaning all humans, men and women) through his ‘Son’ Jesus and the disciples.

All good so far, and if you have faith in that, great, I truly and I am sincere in this, am happy for you and can only respect you for it. Peoples belief’s or rather their spiritual beliefs are precious and should always be respected.

My own personal beliefs however differ slightly, I dont challenge all the stories in any such volume, whatever religion or belief it is born from, but, for me there are a few points I choose to question and even argue.

The first point is who actually penned the original manuscripts, and with a degree of certainty, I think many will agree, likely not the people present at the time. We are talking around 2000+ years ago, give or take, and I understand that during that period most of the people could not read or write, in fact to be a literate scribe may still have meant you were a house slave, but certainly in an elevated position.

The Masters and most certainly not the Mistresses of the house, no matter how Hollywood depicts it, were extremely unlikely to even write down numbers, and definitely not entire recounts of events.

Yes some traders, even slavers may have had basic knowledge but most certainly were not scholars.

Therefore the people who could have written true accounts of the described events, including the spoken words of the Messiah or his mates where probably not actually there.

I may be wrong, as neither was I present, as far as I know. (Oops a different theology).

I don’t know about you, but I rarely remember anyone’s words verbatim, especially if there is a huge crowd and no Marshal amps.

So I do question whether Christ actually said these words, and if he did, why?

The phrase seems so innocent, and maybe even common sense, which is a key aspect of why the Bible is so often accepted

‘But’ …. this innocent phrase is actually very powerful, and more controlling than we think.

Now all religions I understand have rules, in Christianity they are primarily The (ten) Commandments. Certainly anyone brought up in the 1970’s British education system will have had them spouted at them by over zealous RE teachers and the head teachers during assembly, I certainly did.

The Commandments basically were laws, that if you broke, God would judge you by, but also at several points in our history not only God, but the Church, the judiciary (if it could be called that) and even those we called family or friends.

Then there were the teachings such  as “But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also”, and though not a commandment, a very strong instruction of which you again would be judged.

This kind of statement does not come from no where, its a very deliberate form of control, social control.

Social control is about ensuring you can keep people in their place without the need to police them yourself. A very useful tool if for instance you as a minority wish to govern over others who outnumber you a thousand fold.

Slavery, whether a shackled example or a social conscript, making people work for you and then taxing them, upon whatever meagre pittance of a wage you decide to pay them, is far easier to enforce if those you enslave believe they have no choice in fighting back.

Bullies thrive upon the “turn the other cheek” mentality of so many.

The phrase in a utopian land may be truly good advice, but there is no Utopia in this world we currently live.

Sadly it is often the oppressed that use the phrase upon themselves and their peers, those with power never truly believe it relates to them, they do not abide to any such rules. That’s why they are in control, why they continue as that minority to wield power over us, who absolutely out number them.

Its how their cruelty, corruption, murder, abuse, and yes genocide thrive.

Now this is no call to arms, for that likely would result in my  arrest and the same to others following me, we truly live in a regime even here in Britain (especially here in Britain) where freedom of speech is simply another lie to appease and control, if you are seen to stand against that minority holding the power you will be shut down, one way or another.

So no call to arms here, no incitement in any way, beyond a call to think. To question, to criticize and challenge.

Stop using such terms as “turn the other cheek” or “live and let live”, especially if referring to those pedalling hate, those preaching cruelty, those attempting to divide and oppress us, those stealing our rights, our lives, those dehumanising people to cull them then steal their homes.

Do not turn the other cheek to fascism, to Nazi’s that attack the most vulnerable, simply because they are an easy target.

Remember when they have stripped the disabled and sick of everything, when they have stolen the safety net from the unwaged or low waged, when they have stolen all the assets of our National Health Service, when they have used all our economy, to buy, use, and give away their weapons of destruction in order for them to profit from it, remember that then they will see the little you have saved, and you too will become fair game, for to these vile creatures, it is but a game, and even if you are their most loyal foot soldier, they will take all from you, your children and all you hold dear.

I don’t write this for fun, certainly not for fame, I simply write out of a desperate need to wake people up to the attacks already happening upon the disabled, chronically ill and impoverished, upon those whose only crimes are geography of birth, and for those currently blessed in so much as they as yet are not in the crosshairs.

It is that simple, and as I am Simon I can truly state that.

No guru just a human

What we are told we know

Now for all my socialist friends that still believe the Mirror is left wing, look at who truly controls it, not the Editor, nor the Mirror Chief Executive,  for the Mirror itself as part of the Mirror is majority owned by three financial companies.

M&G Investment Management, Aberforth Partners, and Lombard Odier Asset Management.

M&G are made up of several types of shareholders. ¹

Top Institutional Holders

Daiichi Life Group, Inc.

BlackRock, Inc.

Kingdom Holding Company

Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management Ltd.

The Vanguard Group, Inc.

Aberdeen Group Plc

Silchester International Investors LLP

Norges Bank Investment Management

M&G Plc Employee Share Scheme

Artemis Investment Management LLP

Top Mutual Fund Holders

Government Pension Fund Global

Artemis Income Fund

Vanguard STAR Funds – Vanguard Total International Stock ETF

Vanguard Tax-Managed Funds – Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF

Vanguard Fiduciary Trust Company Institutional Total International Stock Market Index Trust II

iShares Trust – iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF

iShares Public Limited Company – iShares Core FTSE 100 UCITS ETF

Vanguard FTSE U.K. All Share Index Unit Trust

Schroder Unit Trusts Limited – Schroder Income Fund

BNY Mellon Investment Funds – BNY Mellon UK Income Fund

Why is this relevant? You may well ask, but consider that these are simply the share holders of one of the three main holding companies of The Mirror Group, look at each of the companies, trusts or holdings, how many are in the business of truth? How many of these share holders put morality before profit? What do any of them bring to one of Britain’s main media companies beyond their huge investment on the stock exchange?

So the shareholders are not actually interested in providing you truth, they are interested in profit. Now we all realistically know this, so nothing new, and we know the Trusts, holding companies, hedge funds and shareholders all play a gamble upon the stock exchange,  but we also know that they intend to make the most profit for the least risk. That is absolutely how they operate.

Thus is where the boards come in. Those with the most to lose or gain have the biggest say. So, its the majority shareholders, these big three organisations,  financial organisations that choose who run what. Now M&G have more than one chief executive,  they have a global CEO who is a guy called Andrea Rossi, his background is financial. He specialises in asset management, but also remains a non executive director in a firm he set up in 2021 reducing environmental impact in manufacturing. He likely is the life and soul of any party, but I would not know as I am unlikely to ever socialise with humans such as him.

So basically he offers no journalism experience, he does bring a kind of environmental morality to the table, if you believe he set that company up for any reason other than pure profit.

So if Andrea has a boss, who is that?

Well the Chair of the board of directors is another man, this time with a nice title, in point of fact a lawyer with the title of ‘ Sir ‘. Now that seems familiar. This Sir is not a Keir, he is Sir Edward Braham.

Good old Sir Ed is a lawyer, but very much with a background in finance. This includes a current position as a non-executive member of HM Treasury and its Audit and Risk and Nominations Committee. There really is no position ever that could be more ‘Establishment’. When we talk of ‘The Establishment’ he truly is at its core.

I would lay odds that although he has different legal specialties than the current Establishment PM, they are more than acquainted, my personal thoughts would be that Sir Ed could very easily be one of Sir Keir’s British puppet masters. But what would I know, that purely is conjecture and supposition upon my part, m’lord!

Now we know that at least one of the three major shareholding financial institutions that own the Mirror, very much has the interests of ‘The Establishment‘ not ‘The Masses’ at heart. Yes they want to make as much profit as possible, but if there os the added benefit of being able to influence a major media outlet with pure Establishment propaganda,  well they would beyond stupid not to do so, and no one can ever claim The Establishment are stupid!

Now M&G do not only invest in the Mirror, they are huge shareholders of the following

  Meta Platforms, Inc. (META): Parent company of Facebook and Instagram, representing a core holding in their global portfolios.

  Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL): Parent company of YouTube and Google, heavily exposed to digital broadcasting, video media, and global advertising.

  Microsoft Corporation (MSFT): A top holding for M&G, heavily involved in gaming media through Xbox and Activision

They are a big part of those who choose who sits as CEO, they have influence as to the direction, terms, conditions, and in my very humble view how the information these platforms provide is censored and controlled.

To uncover this info took me an afternoon of my life, I did not need to leave my chair (other than a loo break or two), simply using Google gave me access to all yhe info I needed to draw my own conclusions.

Bear in mind that The Mirror is only a small part of the propaganda machine that give us the knowledge that The Establishment and its minions want us to have.

People will always discount or trash such views as I hold, claiming conspiracy theories or even questioning the mental health of the authors of such ideas.

It is however at least ironic that so many ‘conspiracy theories’ have recently been proven to be based upon or even completely factual and true.

20yrs ago we never would have thought anything like the Epstien files would even exist, never mind derail so many rich, powerful or celebrity names, and certaonly we would not have thought such abuse would have been perpetrated by names we respected. When Bill Cosby was outed the world was shocked, but now every day far mor prolific offenders come to light, yet are ignored by the media, maybe this article may have some thinking for themselves and understanding why? I can hope.

Religious hate? No thanks

If I actually was a Christian, which I was officially brought up as, in so much as my school had a Christian Assembly, RE (Religious Education) was Christian focused, and without my consent, and purely due to societies expectations and pressures put upon parents, I was Christened into the Church of England, I would now feel beyond angry and aggrieved that those beliefs had been hijacked by hate filled fascist fanatics and extremists.
That these complete low-life scum were declaring that ‘my god’ not only condoned, supported but even ordered them to hate others because of the deity or prophets they believe in.
Now there is an irony here, insomuch as the actual god that both religions, Christianity and Islam worship, well it is actually the same god. The only differences are language, interpretation and who is telling the story.
Christianity claims Jesus was the ‘son of god’ but Islam makes no claim that Muhammad is God’s son, nor a god himself, but that he was a messenger and prophet.
Despite what extremists upon both sides will shout out, neither belief supports hate, supports violence nor war or terrorism.
Sadly both beliefs, as with all formal religions, have these extremists, people who believe they have some divine right to talk for their god. It is these extremists that are the problem, and their tools are hate, discrimination, fear and threats, whether based in the now, or the supposed afterlife.
Now for me, a person who carries my own beliefs, that are not formal, not devised by others through lessons, through a church or Temple, but from my own thoughts and life experiences, I still feel a level of ire that these hate and bile filled creatures are taking peoples own beliefs, their comfort, their security and culture from them and bastardising it to fit this narrative of division.
The people spouting this horrific immoral rhetoric do not actually believe in the god you do, if they attend any church at all, which many do not its simply for show, to give a faux truth to their foul words.
These people have no interest in your soul, they don’t truly believe in any gods beyond greed, celebrity and the tools of hate such as division and fear.
Yes there are Muslim Paedophiles, there are also white, Christian, Catholic, Protestant, Methodist, even Quaker Paedophiles, I doubt their is any religion or non religion that can claim not to have such offenders.
And yes there are Muslim grooming gangs, as there are again Christian ones, as a Social Worker with many years of experience in Child Protection, I know of many very organised gangs, communities and even huge families that groom, abuse and even kill children, including extremely young babies.
Sadly when you point this out to the haters, their response is always, “well there are more Muslims doing it than ‘white’ people”.
Actually that’s not likely to be in any way correct, their statements also display their confusion, and destroy their arguments that they are not technically racist, because Islam is not a race, however they in this one sentence admit that they see Islam as an Asian religion,  and do not recognise that there are ‘white’ Muslims, therefore they are actually racists.
That again confuses me a little, that they are so offended when outed, and then called racist, despite that being exactly the label they truly carry with their twisted pride.
Now again, I definitely no longer describe myself as religious, and certainly not a Christian,  for if I did, I would see myself as a hypocrite,  but if you are someone who takes comfort and pride in your personal beliefs, maybe you should feel anger, and it should be firmly aimed at those  perverting your belief base as a tool to further these vile plans to divide us all. Focus that anger on the puppet masters of these corrupt immoral people who are absolutely intent upon their goal to destroy your friendships, families and communities, purely in order for their actual paymasters being able to exert more control over all the people. A nation so divided by fear and hate, folk so weakened by that division, that even when things become unliveable, freedoms and rights are stolen. A society where poverty becomes so extreme that it takes many more lives than we are currently told it does. Where we as the citizenship of Britain become so restricted by new laws and legislation, oppressive laws which we have given them free reign to write into the unwritten constitution of the United Kingdom, that means we can no longer think certain thoughts never mind even be allowed to speak freely,
These actions use your beliefs in such a way they are purely to divert the peoples attention away from the true causation of the poverty, the struggles, the unemployment, the hate, the aggression, the violence,  are to protect those really in control, the ones who own these heroes of fascism  such as Farage, Robinson, Lowe, Hopkins, to stop you, us,  standing against murder, cruelty, abuse, expansionism, oppression and genocide.
All of their tactics are measured, organised and controlled by people far brighter than Farage, Robinson and those previously named.
Now I am likely someone you have never met, many if not all reading this will not know my story, though some may do.
If you are on TikTok, Facebook, X, Youtube, or any other social media, there will be many influencers attempting to make you think a certain way. There will be people claiming to be all sorts of folk. There will be those describing themselves as experts, academics, philosophers, life coaches, even Guru’s and political or religious leaders giving you a version of what they will tell you is the verbatim truth. Many will do this to build upon your anger and mistrust of anyone different to yourself. There may be some that describe themselves as former ‘Christians’ or former ‘Muslims’ and make out that they had been indoctrinated into a cult, some in extreme situations may actually have been, certainly groomed or controlled by extremists, others will be using a fake background to draw you into the way they want you to think.
All I can say is I am no religious expert. In my youth I did read a little of the bible, a little of the Quran, took a passing interest in other beliefs, but am not well read on any. The one thing I will say is the most violent thing I did read was “an eye for an eye” but even that was not calling people to attack others, my view was that its a warning not an expectation.  The other parts of the bible were teachings not instructions or orders, and I saw the same in the Quran, no demands for violence, no call to arms or war.
I was reading with an open mind, I chose to read what I did and had no one with reason for anger, fear or revenge interpreting them to me.
I do see religious writings including the bible and in particular the commandments as a form of social control. A way to keep society operating upon some level, and if needed a tool to quell uprisings.
My personal view is if there were a god, why would that being want its ‘creations’ to set about destroying the other creations, it makes no sense to me.
What does make sense is that we now should be living in a world where there are no slaves and no masters. A world where billionaires do not exist, where people can strive to improve their lives, but where all,  globally, have a good basic standard of living. Party politics to me is now irrelevant, as all parties are owned by the same billionaires,  corporations and sadly foreign powers.
Nationalist politics should be irrelevant too, we should at this stage of evolution and  development as a species be beyond kings, emperors, leaders, corporate directors, and rulers. There should not be a careerist class of politicians, no bribery nor corruption.
We should be fighting to preserve our world as a world.
There is no need for poverty, for starvation, for deaths due to drought, pollution, hunger and definitely not war.
We should be living in a world where common sense is no longer so rare.
So all I ask is if you read my words, question them, and if you don’t agree with them seek out your own truths, but draw on your experiences, and if you are scared of a different community, culture or religion, reach out, visit them, speak to them.
The simple way to abolish all this hate is get to know those others we share this reality with.
It truly is that simple.
Please feel free to share this, and read my other writing on my blog page, http://www.thejonesey.com

Act now or not at all.

We can only be upset at the election results, the gains of fascism are beyond horrifying. But what real choice did anyone have?

The Greens are in some ways the best option right now, but as a single issue party they will never fill the void that the post Blair Labour Party created.

Even pre-Thatcher there was no real changes whoever was in power. They may have talked the talk but even then, when the Corporate was British, the back door lobbying and control of the Establishment meant nothing was every really done.

At least then however, scandal actually brought down governments and people did demonstrate and strike. We defended our rights as much as we were ‘allowed’.

The power shift now politically is odd, we now have a far more right wing reinvented Tory party, rebranded as reform, which excuses those we all know who say “I will never vote Conservative” but are happy to put X next to Reform.

We have a Labour Party openly controlled by a foreign power, with a Prime Minister intentionally stripping British people of their rights and using hate as his strongest weapon to divide his opposition.

The Lib Dems are now inconsequential due to Clegg betraying the nation and allying with the Conservatives. The Conservatives will likely never govern again, even their traditional masters has abandoned them, never mind the voters.

Sadly though political parties and the politicians within, are all of the same ilk. There is no choice whatsoever sadly.

We need a world without careerist politicians, without lobbying, without parties never mind billionaire backers.

We need to pick government like we pick juries, a public duty not a choice. No party, just consensus decisions, no bribes, anything that interferes with the honesty to be classed as treason. It takes power away from corporations, shareholders, the super rich. There is no left or right wing, just people.

Until that happens we will only be seen by those in control as eaters, as parasites taking too many of their worlds resources.

We matter nothing to them, and if they can’t find reason to continue to enslave us for profits, well then our importance to them in this world becomes nil,at that point we are simply a pest to be eradicated.

If we do not act soon it truly will be too late, if not already so.

The subtlety of truth

I never read news papers, I know they are trash at best, but the Mirror is now in a league of its own.
There is a story about keeping high viz in your car and wearing light clothing when you are driving.
The rag infers that if you don’t adhere to this you can be fined.
Let’s be clear, this is tosh!
When reading any official document the wording is everything.
The key is the difference between suggestion and direction. In other words must and should.
When a document has the word “must” it means you have to. If it says “should” it simply offers it as advice.
You would think any first year press student would understand this.
Its the same as “power” and “duty”. A power means that for instance in family law,or more particularly The Children Act 1989, a social car department has a power to provide a service, in other words they can if they wish… however if there is a “duty” to provide a service, they must, they have to by law do it.
Thats the difference between a ‘Child in Need’ and a child under a ‘Child Protection Plan’.
So called journalists do this all the time, they manipulate and ignore language. They either do not understand the basics or use it to fuel division, upset, hate and aggrieve folk.
So please whenever you read anything a professional hack has written, re-read it, look for the subtlety in how they phrase things. Remember all news sources have a bias, its not always the one you assume, its all too often based upon the direction instructed by the billionaire owner or majority shareholder.
And its important to realise that the traditional bias of the past is no longer truly the current position. The Mirror, and The Guardian are no longer stalwarts of the ‘left’, and there is no ‘centerist’ news outlet beyond maybe the independent at times and for most of their reporting the ‘Canary’.
If you want the real news look further than any British News organisation.
