Volunteer Riders UK free PPE distribution – ongoing

VOLUNTEER RIDERS UK, protecting people, communities, families and you from Covid-19.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/229513121739915/?ref=share
I set Volunteer Riders UK up in March 2020. It was an idea I had to distribute completely free PPE across the UK using motorcycles.
I began the project as a memorial to my brother Rob ‘Jonesy’ Jones who died in December 2019, due to a long and undiagnosed nor treated illness aged 35, I wanted to ensure as many families as possible never have to unnecessarily experience the very real and agonising pain of losing someone they love. .
Since then we have as bikers took PPE from Devon to Scotland, from Gt Yarmouth to Wales.
We have provided transport for manufacturers and sewing groups all over, even utilising a plane to deliver to an African country. Every piece we carry is completely free to the end user. We do no fundraising nor do we have sponsorship, we are running completely on the good will, time, transport and fuel of our riders, coordinators and drivers. The people making the PPE do so again free of charge to the end users, though they may get funding from other sources.
We are a completely cashless group.
We have been responsible for transporting most of the PPE from amazing groups such as NHS Heroes, For the love of scrubs (FTLOS) and locally to me Sheilagh’s Sewing Circle in Dronfield.
We work with manufacturers, sewers and have our riders all over mainland UK and occasionally have liaised with groups in Ireland.
The group has currently around 3,800 members, is non-political in any way, and is a credit to every member who by being a part of it has made this immense project so successful.
We believe currently we have delivered massively in excess of 6,000,000 pieces of free PPE from masks to complete scrub sets.
We have not as yet even begun to calculate the miles ridden.
We provide to front line professionals both in and out of the NHS, hospitals, care homes, GP surgeries, schools, colleges, ambulance teams, community midwives, Covid recovery wards, Gt Ormand Street, along with giving them to vulnerable children, families and individuals.
Throughout the period we have been running it has been a huge learning curve and has displayed the best humanity has to offer.
So remember when you see that  biker whether bearded, dripping in leather, covered in patches (like me) or wearing hi-viz like so many others, remember not only are they fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, grandparents or friends, but also likely are putting their all into keeping our families, friends, communities and country safe.
So when you want to clap a true hero just remember that hero may be closer than you think.
I am proud of each one of those trying to keep us all safe and call every member of VRUK brother, sister and forever my friends.

Future of Labour

So St Sir Kier of Starm (I was going to call him Sturm but then found that Sturm means noun. : a late 18th century German literary movement characterized by works containing rousing action and high emotionalism that often deal with the individual’s revolt against society. So in contrast to Starm which means puppet of the establishment and unofficial agent of Mossad), is it seems about to face a revolt after his vile behaviour towards Jeremy Corbyn.
Someone on a post earlier in a socialist group asked what the left in Labour are going to do, the thing is Labour is supposed to be bloody ‘left’, it is supposed to be in opposition to the Conservatives – the ‘right’ (as in direction not morality).
Starmer is not a left wing politician, he and his ilk are careerist right wing (center right at best) representatives of those who wish the status quo of the poor remaining poor and the rich getting richer.
If there is no one in the gutter how can they judge how high their platforms are?
Prince Phillip let it slip a couple of years ago when he stated that he wished a virus would wipe out half the world (not a direct quote but near enough). The rich, wealthy and super rich do not value our lives. They do not respect our rights, just because they smile when stabbing you does not make their tyranny any less.
It’s easy to lie, to use fake news, propaganda, and cover your own corruption, deviance and atrocities when you own the press and media. It’s easy to convince the masses that you are on their side it seems by saying you like their music, support their football club, drive a car they love or ride a pushbike.
Politics truly now is smoke and mirrors, a deception that makes the majority believe we live in a democracy. Sadly we do not.
There will never be a time that we are permitted or allowed to have a free honest vote on anyone who is not owned by those in charge.
Starmer, Rayner, Mann, Watson, Hodge, Brown or any of the long line of sabateurs have I believe been bribed, cohersed, romanced not just by our establishment but by foreign governments and powers. They do not in any way represent the membership, the National Exec, the Party or the people.
I cannot see any simple way out of this disgusting reality that doesn’t involve us being suppressed by force or living under their rules of compliance.
It really to me is that simple.
So yes it would be good if Starmer was sacked, challenged and replaced, but we need to Learn our lesson, the powers in control will never allow an honest moral leader and cabinet run the UK.
Fractionalised parties will never gain power. The only chance of change is a ‘Labour Movement’ that sheds blood sweat and tears as our forebears did with the start of the unions and civil rights.
If you want a fair, non discriminatory and caring future of hope for our children, we are going to have to stand up and fight.

Disabled scrounging scum?

Let’s be fucking clear, no one would fake chronic illness or disability to live on benefits and be VILLIFIED by society. Get a fucking grip with your pathetic ‘scroungers’ rhetoric. I would hapilly swap my pain with any knob head if it meant regaining my self worth, self respect, health, career and be able to walk in the countryside, climb the mountains, hike the peaks, swim, camp, canoe and dream.
I will give you my illnesses if it means I can regain hope.
So wake the fuck up. People living on benefits are not scroungers, they are not putting it on, they are not faking it. And before you say…. But I know….. Ask yourself are you their fucking doctor, their consultant, their specialist. Do you clean up their faeces, their vomit, help them dress, keep them from taking their lives due to despair?
Do you see them on the bad days, know the pain they fight through to appear ‘normal’?
Have you understanding of fear of being judged, watched, called, criminalised for daring to have odd days you cope with your constant pain?
Do you realise that illness and disability mean you can’t plan even today, nevermind tomorrow or next week. You lose friends due to being unreliable. You lose relationships if you dare to show your weakness.
Do you have a clue the damage the meds that keep you alive do to your body, loss of teeth, hair, libido, sensation, motivation or joy.
Do you even now with lockdown truly get what isolation really means, what social anxiety it, how brain fog confuses, disempowers and makes you feel like you dare not speak?
How being unable to do the most basic excersise and the drugs you take pile weight on so you live in a constant catch 22 life.
How every day you are at risk of taking too many or too less meds, where you fight each minute not to kill yourself, despite having planned and readied the tools needed to take your life?
Do you understand how a simple thing, a look, a word, a smell, a place, a Xmas decoration can trigger, causing panic or despair?
Sadly unless you live it, experience it you will never understand it. Why sadly? Because without understanding it or having empathy towatds those living it you will no doubt continue to judge us, to attack us, to reduce us to in your mind sub human scum.
Well we ain’t, we are as entitled to respect as you, we are as valuable to this world, this society, our communities and families as you.
Our lives matter as much as yours, just sadly so many of you fail to see that.
So before you do judge us take a moment and realise it’s you that is the arsehole not the person you seek to bully and put down.
We don’t ask for pity just the respect we all as humans deserve.
The chronically ill and disabled are true warriors and each day may be our final battle.

The Labour Movement is not the party

Sorry folks we cannot take back the labour party. The establishment learnt their lesson. So now we need to unite outside of it. Bring all the factionalised groups together, we are the ‘Labour Movement’ we are the true supporters of what the Labour Party was supposed to represent.
We need to see it as a football team. When it started out it was represented by players from the local communities, it’s supporters were local to the team. But the league got bought out by big business, and now the players do not represent the towns, cities or communities, the players don’t play for passion they play for money, the supporters are mainly those who are only about who wins the league, who have the best kits and no longer about the people who supported them in the beginning.
This cannot carry on. Politicians need to be passionate about the people they represent. The whole point of an MP should be to represent their communities and. Protect and promote the people within them.
This is now generally lost within the Labour Party. Now it’s about furthering careers, awards, shares and directorships. It about the rewards they can squeeze out of companies, of oligarchs and even foreign governments.
We need to stop this type of politics right now.
We on the left generally believe in the same things, in people, in communities, in morality, in ethics. We strave to be antidiscrimiatory and to stand against hate, bigotry and greed.
We as socialists do not accept cruelty, expansionism, profiteering nor corruption.
It’s that simple.
We can no longer allow the right wing, the capitalists, the establishment, corporations and the super rich to undermine, control or own us. We are not chaff, we are not expendable and each one of us needs to be cherished and supported by society not villified and treated with cruelty and disdain.
So our choices now truly are unite and fight, or divide and fail. Sadly for the vulnerable, the ill, the disabled it now is a fight to the death. The establishment already in countless ways have demonstrated their intent to make life so difficult for these folk to continue, to survive never mind have any chance at a happy life where needs are met and they feel nurtured and cared for.
We now make the decisions or sadly for some we die.
We are Labour, it’s the Labour Party who no longer are.
