Beware, Starmer is trying to remove trial by jury. As a lawyer he knows the devastating effect this will have on any trust in the judicial system and destroy any belief of justice, but he also knows the immense power it will give him and his masters, at home and abroad. Scary times with such a morally corrupt and blatantly owned leader.
This will make marshal law look a weak tactic in comparison.
British Judges are a major part of the Establishment, and very few if any Judges have any understanding, never mind empathy for the majority of people in this country.
Justice is not blind in the UK, and Juries are our last line of defence against conviction without trial.
The UK already has conviction without trial for less serious offences such as fixed penalty fines, or even cautions, if you accept either it is recorded as acceptance of guilt.
Imagine them imposing prison terms as a fixed penalty, with no right of appeal. This is beyond a slippery slope, this is a trapdoor to the darkest depths of hell, for any that try to stand for the people, for our rights, for our safety or any form of equality.
Do not be fooled, this is not some simple tactic to remove the backlog of trials listed in the Courts.
Right now there are new prisons being built, whilst communities are being stripped bare of resources and people of their rights.
