Disabled scum…..a life in the UK

In the UK today, if you are a person with disability or chronic ill health, and you are not wealthy enough to live by “independent means”, you have to claim what are laughingly called “benefits”.

The so called “benefits” you can claim are Universal Credit, ESA – Employment Support Allowance, and PIP – Personal Independence Payment.

Universal Credit and ESA are both means tested, so if you are wealthy enough to have savings, that are not hidden in the Seychelles or other off shore accounts, you may not get them, although if you have over £6,000 in savings you won’t get the full amount either. So people that have managed to save a nest egg when working may also lose out, until they become broke.

PIP however is about how you disability effects you. It’s not means tested, anyone who meets the criteria, can apply.

Sadly though, PIP is not fit for purpose, it limits choice as it is, however if the government then decided to restrict it further with vouchers the government would just encourage even more disabled people to take their own lives.

It’s already shameful that being ill or having a disability stops people from living their lives as they would wish.

Before I got ill I spent many years as a child protection social worker, trying to ensure children and families were kept safe from harm. I have seen PIP. and disability from both sides. I have seen a very few folk that upon the face of it play the system, but given i am not their doctor, cannot feel what they are going through I could not say for sure, but have alsi seen countless folk who have been turned down when they should have been recieving it, had it stopped for technicality, and not then got it back, had it stopped out of some bizarre consequence for daring to try to live, and had it used as a threat for compliance.

Disability payment has been used as a diversion tool by consecutive governments since 1979. It has lead to the current system whereby people have to jump through hoops often at the worst times of their lives just to get a very basic level of support.

Disabled and Chronically Ill people are told they can claim for “benefits”, but these are not “benefits” they are our entitlements we have paid for through the systems that have been in place since way before I was born, “national insurance”.

Once people claim these so called benefits they are placed in a position where they live in constant fear of their entitlement being stopped, they are condemned if they are seen as trying to live as normal a life as possible, not only by the Department of Work and Pensions – #DWP, but also by the public and even people they see as friends or family. The effects of this fear also stretches to them being seen as scroungers, as an underclass, as what certain members of previous government have identified as “eaters”.

Even simple things like going on holiday are restricted, not only as where they can go but duration, having to risk losing their “benefit” – means to live and survive, if someone in the DWP deems their holiday breeches some internal guidance.

Beyond this, things that when I was working would have been confidential to me, such as my bank account, my spending, my economic habits are now scrutinised without even agreement or  notification.

Having to live upon benefits due to illness is not an easy life, it’s not a choice or lifestyle. When I worked full time I had a purpose, I had reason to live, I also had an extremely good wage and standard of living, giving that up to survive upon benefits was never a choice.

People see me on the few better days I have, and if I am coping with the constant pain, the exhaustion, and putting on the act, which so many of us feel we have to do,  the making out to onlookers, to friends, to family that we are coping, if I can put my brain fog and confusion to one side long enough to appear interested or focused in a conversation, then they will have no realisation of my fight, of my battle I fight each day.

Sadly though because people only see me on the days I feign being able to manage, they see me as a fake, as a scrounger, as someone living a life paid for by everyone else.

The thing is they do not see me on the days where I cannot even get out of bed to make it to the toilet, where I cannot stand long enough to make a brew, where if no one is here I don’t eat, when I only see a grey mist of disinterest, despair and hopelessness. they will not understand the living in constant pain, of every movement hurting, of not being able to undertake the most basic of tasks.

People do not have any understanding of the effects of not being able to plan or commit, of having to cancel appointment after appointment,  to the point of being struck off dentist, doctors and consultants lists. Of having housing threatening you because you had to cancel three appointments for your gas safety check.

People do not see the fear of the doorbell, the not being able to let folk in because you have not been able to complete the most basic of domestic tasks or personal care. The loss of pride in your home, in your life and in your self.

It’s impossible for many an outsider to recognise how illness strips away not only pride, confidence and self worth, but the relationships we held dear, not only friends but close family. I now have no relationship with my son or daughter, and at times only a fractured one with my parents, and sister, and the loss of countless friends that once called me “brother”.

So before you or government judges people with disabilities, with life restricting and threatening conditions, with terminal illness, before new legislarion is brought in to vilify us even more, to test our resolve to remain alive, to prevent our inclusion as valued human beings, to identify us as even more worthless, to steal our choices, to destroy any hope of living a sustainable and valued life, please think.

Disability and chronic health conditions are sadly too common, they are not expected, not part of any plan we may have, they hit us at any time, often when we begin to feel our lives are worthwhile,  whether measured financially or in the self respect we hold.

The only difference between you and someone in need of the support PIP should bring is circumstance. You may be well today, but tomorrow…..? That’s why we pay “national insurance “,  it’s why we used to value families and community.

So stop condemning the most vulnerable in society, and give us the respect and support we all as humans deserve.

Covid V Euthanasia the Paxlovid choice

I have just been reading up on medicine for Covid 19, the screenshots are from NHS website. I was reading it and tbh have got uneasy about the correlation between their list and what I believe a government euthanasia list would read at this moment. It only contains people the government describe as eaters, in otherworld people who the establishment see as having no use but to eat up the world’s resources. The same folk Prince Philip said he wanted to come back as a disease and wipe out.
The reason I was even reading this is because my 82yr old mum has very severe Covid, I advised her to ring 111 and see if she fits the category for being prescribed Paxlovid.
I am not a fan of Covid denial at all, I saw too many people die during lockdown,  I try not to be drawn in to off the wall ideas about people deliberately being killed by the actions on government or establishment,  however reading this has scared me, and tbh what is war in reality but a thirst for greed and culling the population of a region or globe?
I truly am now trying not to believe what my eyes seem to be telling me.
I looked into the numbers on several sites and although all the figures offered, some significantly with the USA CDC claiming only .01% of people taking it died compared to .04% of those that didn’t, and yet according to Washington University School of Medicine, Paxlovid reduced the risk of death by 47%.
Remember the pharmaceutical companies sponsor schools and universities in the USA and now more often here in the UK.
My mum is so ill that i want her to get anything that helps, but this i admit makes me nervous.

Destruction of greenbelt for immigration?

We are told to believe all these new housing estates are for migrants. Its the same rhetoric spouted by the right wing and the government daily. We are fed this to divide us further, because whilst we hate the vulnerable we accept those truly at fault.
The houses being built upon all the green land are in reality for people who can afford the mortgages and these predominately are more wealthy people, anyone buying on “farmland” estates will be paying a starting price of over £250,000, and usually much more. Yet folk believe it to be “immigrants being given houses when they cross the channel”. The people coming across risking their lives in decrepit unsuitable and overcrowded boats generally have bugger all. They get nothing from the state, unless they have a watertight reason to remain such as true refugees or British Commonwealth citizens.
The people you are told by the press are living in hotels are actually either those with a legal valid reason to be here, or are here with work visas, therefore economic migrants with jobs.
There have been 12,315 people according to the BBC coming into the country this year, (upto the 18th of June. Last year for the entire year 29,500, but that’s a huge drop from normal figures which have been as high as 45,700 in 2018.
They sound huge numbers don’t they? But we live in a country of around 67,955,000 according to the UN figures, so the numbers come out at slightly over .04% of the UK population, and even then the vast majority are returned to their country of origin.
However, 663,000 people earn six figure wages in the UK, 2.1million people reported having at least one second home last year in Britain, many of them with more than one additional house, and these homes are not to rent out. That’s almost 4% (a hundred times more than all the channel crossing immigrants) of our population.
So just why is our countryside being destroyed by building upon it? Just who are the real problem?
See how easy it is to blame the vulnerable? That’s how fascism really works.

Stupidity of extremism for dummies

Very dependent on who you believe yourself to be, imagine you were by accident of birth, actually born, in a different culture, one that was dominated by Christian belief, Islamic belief, Buddhist belief, Hindu Belief, Judaism belief, or any other religion, or you were a different colour, gender, sexuality or ability to your current one, would you despise yourself more than you already do? Should you see yourself as immoral, dirty, unclean, unintelligent, unfeeling, unworthy or non deserving of freedom or life? Because that’s what discrimination and extremism truly are, It’s that simple, and stupid.
There are amazing people in every walk of life, as well as vile almost inhuman ones. Do I judge you by the clothes you wear, your weight, height, completion or hair colour, do I condemn you because someone else with blue eyes or a size 34 waist committed a crime? No because that would be pathetic….wouldn’t it?

D-day

71yrs ago today a huge number of very scared men (and a number of women) went into the most important battle of recent history.
These fathers, brothers, friends and sons travelled across the English channel to be met not by some officious customs officer but by lead, fire, pain, injury and death.
This day was the first day of a very long journey of pain, suffering and loss.
Many families were decimated by these events and all touched by it.
These soldiers of all allied and commonwealth nations, all religions and all cultures fought and died on that day and those that followed.
Christian, Hindu, Jew or Muslim it did not matter, they lived and died together as brothers fighting the same evil, fighting to give us, their children, and grand children a future of freedom, rights and justice.
Please think back to what it was like for them facing almost certain death by the most horrible ways imaginable. Reflect upon it. Allow yourself to feel a fraction of their fear, terror, pain and nothingness.
Their willingness to give up their own futures to ensure a good one for us.
Understand that they did this out of duty, out of morality but also most of all out of hope.
Do not sully their memory with hate. Do not let their memory be tarnished by the very things they fought for. Our freedoms, our rights, our future.
Do not allow others to steal our rights or tell us our fellow brothers, sisters, humans deserve theirs to be taken.
Those that use these memories to promote hate absolute disrespect the memory of those we should be most proud of.

I remember them, this and every day. I respect what they did and love them for it.

4th of July, Independence Day?

I should have hope that the election will bring change, however our supposed democratic process is but a sham. It was broken by design. It was bad enough when the worst the parties could do was move constituency borders, but that now is seriously the least of the issues.
The current government and their buddies set up companies at election times to “count the votes”, gone are the independent vote counters locked away until all the votes are counted.
The Conservatives also have huge donors that pay not only for open publicity, but also for call centres to be set up to call people daily, some identifying themselves as pro Conservative, but others saying they are independent companies or even the erm…opposition.
That brings me to the official opposition, the Labour Party. The clue should be in the name, Labour ….. the workers and all who are not the aristocracy and super rich. Sadly though, through in not just my opinion, bribery, threats, grooming and yes extortion, this now is but a mirror of the Conservatives, with policies that only seek to make life harder for anyone that is not financially qualified to be a “Dragon” on Dragons Den.
Labour now wear a false flag. In the worst of ways.
The Main political parties all have strong links to the true controllers of our lives, whether the British Establishment, the American, Israeli, Russian, French and even Chinese Establishments. Countries only now really exist as departments of a huge corporation that is our planet.
The others in control of our lives are the media barrens, in fact they possibly hold the most powerful positions of all. They tell us what to think, and worse, when not to think. They along with the countless information gatherers employed directly or indirectly by them and their own masters, can discredit any one of us at whim. Too many folk worry about arrest, under the draconian laws that recently were brought in by our vile Prime Minister and his chums, but stripping of reputation can be even more effective. It takes a very brave person to stand almost completely alone.
I could spend months or even years writing about how bad our society has become, about the very open plans to in effect put us all under restrictions that as yet many have not realised. Most folk sadly wouldn’t read it, many others simply discount it, and worse of all we now haven’t the luxury of time to challenge it.
So what can we do? The only thing I can see that may change anything is to get empathic, honest and dedicated moral people to stand as independent candidates in every constituency. This is how the Party that was once the Party of the people began.
Sadly even doing that will leave a huge swathe of our nation out, for, if you are not wealthy enough to live independently and are disabled or chronically ill, you will not be allowed to stand for parliament. Not because it’s illegal, but because any support you receive from the DWP in relation to ESA and its like will be stopped. That means your only means of survival will be stripped from you. Now I am sure people will say if you are able to be an MP, then you can work, so should not receive ESA …..Employment Support Allowance (Entitlement), however under the law … The Disability Act 2010, your employer, in this case the nation, would need to provide you the support to carry out your duties. Sadly unless you are extremely talented, or essential for a company, private employers rarely can afford or are willing to provide that support. However by putting your head above the parapet you are making a gamble you may not survive.
Also sadly for many people the cost of putting yourself forward as an independent will prohibit any ideas of standing for office.
So will 4th July 2024 bring change? Well that’s up to us, the only way it can is if we put forward, encourage, finance and support dedicated, honest, moral people with no interest in materialism, no craving for celebrity or fame, not driven by the God that is greed, and convince the populace that they are the true way forward. We only now have around 5 weeks to do this. If we do not, then for so many of us all is indeed lost.

Equality and democracy for the disabled

There is no equality in being disabled. The moment a disabled person, who is not of independent means, who has to claim entitlements (they are not benefits, we paid National Insurance, they are simple our policy paying out) stands for election, the DWP will ensure all the money they need to live on, to survive will be stopped.
That is not equality, and lays the lie of democracy naked.

#election #disability #Sunak #cruelty #fear

Now, our time to act.

We need independent candidates to win as many constituencies as possible. No whips, no blackmail, no bribes, no public school allegiances.
That truly is the only way we win freedom in the UK. They will find it far harder to discredit 650 individuals as a post to a single party and it’s very corrupt leadership. Note I did not differentiate,  all the main parties, including Greens, Liberal Dems and Referendum parties are cut from same cloth. I would far rather a 650 coalition the two party one, or single party tule.
If we want to make a difference we have 5 weeks and far less to nominate each independent.
If we don’t do this now, there will be nothing to save by the next election.

Independent equals honest

I implore all free thinking moral people that can afford to do so, to stand for or even just assist in funding independent candidates in the General Election.
Forget the offshoot splintered parties with differing views, completely discount the three main parties, all of which already in my view are proven to be out of touch and corrupt,
The only way for democracy to have even the remotest chance is for there to be no one main part, for every single constituency to have local candidates whi will fight not only for the people local to them, but also for all residents of the UK.
They will not all agree, but that is so very good, because with open discussion there is a pause, a realisation that reasonable arguments with true facts need to be presented and questioned. It gives all constituents a voice. It brings devolution from any central government. It’s restricts dishonesty and bribes. It reduces the ability for any one country or culture to command the country. And it makes it far more difficult for the MSM to discredit every candidate by blanket slurs.
Of course anyone thar meets the standard may stand, but at last we may get some none career politicians that put themselves forward for the right reasons. Ensure each candidate lives in the area they stand.
It is expensive for individuals to put themselves forward but networking and other ideas may enable passionate but poverty challenged folk to stand.
Sadly no matter what we do, disabled folk with be under represented, because if they rely on their entitlement (again not bloody benefits, there is no benefit to living restricted lives), the current government and the DWP will ensure they are punished in the form of sanctions and worse.
But we truly could do this,  the people are that fed up, frustrated, distrustful, disenfranchised and angry at all politicians and their parties, just might vote in a huge majority of independent MP’s of the 650 UK constituencies.
All I ask is try to avoid extremists, and most of all previous party politicians.
We could do this.
If you agree in principle, please share on all social media this idea. Sadly I only know how to use Facebook.
