My dad

My dad Eric (the brave)

The NHS is beyond on its knees, truly not at breaking point,that was history. GP practices turning seriously ill folk away before they are even triaged. People queueing outside for non existent appointments, but can’t phone in because the phone lines are jammed every day.
When or rather if someone gets an appointment, it’s for a locum doctor who will be gone before any further appointment is made.
Tasks not completed by overwhelmed GP’s and practice staff.
People sadly are being missed and dying because of this. But if you are a private patient it’s completely different.

It us the same with hospitals sadly, especially in my experience Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

This is a chronology of my dad’s journey this year.

Eric’s journey to date – abridged

  1. January 2024 Admitted to Chesterfield with stomach, back pains and temperature
  2. Wrong diagnosis made in A&E
  3. Wrong diagnosis made upon ward, no treatment started.
  4. Was told he had terminal cancer and would die soon by Urology Registrar, without any evidence or cause. This was with the entire family
  1. Gave up hope and stopped eating. Was gagging on food. Prescribed 40 sips
  2. Kidney function deteriorated rapidly
  3. Blockage between the kidney and bowel identified.
  4. Discharged with severe sepsis
  5. 3Hrs later taken by ambulance to A&E and readmitted
  6. Attempt to clear blockage failed
  7. Second attempt to clear blockage failed
  8. Attempt to insert stent failed both from above and below.
  9. Was given a nephrostomy
  10. Discharge planning arranged at home by his son as ward failed to do so
  11. Initial support provided by both community health and social care.
  12. District nurses not familiar with nephrostomy and treat as if a simple catheter. They are confused by valve. On one occasion pulled tube out of kidney causing a need reinsertion in X-ray dept
  13. Second occasion pulled out by catching. Then had infection, treated in hospital on antibiotics
  14. Reinsertion failed and had to be repeated following day as tube came out immediately
  15. Ongoing issues when district nurses do bag, occasionally one will know what they are doing but often not.
  16. Referred to Urology at Sheffield.
  17. On Thursday last week he had visit from practice nurse due to his being sick when eating. Nurse prescribed anti-sickness medication
  18. Friday GP practice again contacted but would not provide support.
  19. Friday evening 111 sent paramedic Practitioner out. They were concerned about low sodium levels, advised emergency blood tests Monday am. Prescribed antibiotics for suspected urinary infection
  20. GP practice refused to undertake blood tests
  21. Monday afternoon took to Urology at Sheffield for prearranged appointment, however Hallam Specialist agreed urgent blood tests required. These were done on ward
  22. 12.30 at night call from Urology doctor at Hallam stating blood tests showed extremely low sodium 120. Advised take to closest A&E urgently
  23. Sheffield Urology doctor rang A&E nurse at Chesterfield and explained urgency
  24. 1am arrived at A&E Chesterfield Royal, were initially seen quickly, and told they would get him medicated ASAP.
  25. 4.30 spoke to A&E sister, she stated no contact received from Sheffield.
  26. Simon got Urology Doctor from Sheffield on my phone to talk to her directly.
  27. Dad moved from A&E waiting room to consultation room. Both Eric and his wife were now beyond exhausted.
  28. Simon left to go home and take medications for chronic health conditions
  29. Eric moved to a corridor
  30. Eric moved to Majors
  31. Eric moved to a corridor again
  32. Eric moved to EMU, this is where he received his first medication 16hrs after admission. Sodium now 116
  33. Simon spoke to EMU staff and had to again explain issues.
  34. Helen rang EMU spoke to nurse upon ward.
  35. Simon and Margaret arrived at EMU, spoke to Junior doctor, then were joined by the hospital divisional director. Suspicion of pneumonia or sepsis in lungs. Eric prescribed new antibiotics
  36. Plan made for scans to neck
  37. Eric moved to Ashover ward, adult frailty ward, onto a closed bay that had infectious patients on it.
  38. Following morning they were going to discharge Eric despite sodium levels still being low and on intravenous sodium.
  39. Registrar  agreed plan for discharge. This was sickness to be stopped, Nephrostomy bag changed and scans to brain and gullet with results
  40. Thursday Eric discharged from Adult Frailty ward, family told his sickness had stopped 18hrs before.
  41. Upon discharge at home, Eric stated he was still being sick and continued to be so at home. Unable to keep food or medications including antibiotics down.
  42. Nephrostomy blocked since discharge. Eric attended A&E again, Sam – nurse from Urology met him at A&E, flushed and changed bag. Ward had not flushed and fitted the valve wrongly
  43. Blood in urine once home.
  44. District nurses attended stating blood seemed to have improved. Advised to wait. But advised contact GP to get meds in liquid form
  45. Blue Dyke Surgery stated its Friday afternoon and we are too busy
  46. Margaret stated concerned he would die if couldn’t take meds including antibiotics for lung infection. Receptionist stated not her problem.
  47. 4pm Friday 111 called ambulance which did not arrive till early following morning.
  48. Blood in urine continues
  49. Urine seems not to be draining into bag. What was in bag still blood stained.
  50. Discussion with Urology Sheffield, Helen told by reception that it’s probably a bug
  51. Simon calls Urology Sheffield, explains that Nephrostomy does not seem to be draining and that he believes it may have been dislodged or moved in kidney. He is called by staff nurse, she speaks to Urology doctor. Advise going to Northern General A&E. She believes they will likely transfer Eric to Urology at Sheffield Hallam.

He is now in Hallamshire as in-patient. Chesterfield discharged him with pneumonia, his sodium levels were 116 MEQ/L, now though they are even more dangerously low.
He was only to be discharged once the chest infection had cleared, he had stopped being sick and his sodium levels were safe.
We held the discharge up for 24hrs, but then they lied on all accounts.
I may not be able to sue them if I post on SM, but don’t want money, I want my dad, and everyone to be safe from this malpractice.
A sick patient, no matter how old is not a bleeding “bed blocker” they are a human being, they are husbands, wives, children, siblings, parents….human beings.
Governments, years and years of corrupt governments have put the NHS under immense pressure, but these staff at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Chesterfield Health Foundation Trust (formerly Blue Dyke Surgery) are deliberately colluding with government imposed pressures to not only put people at risk but, kill them through their actions, inactions, poor professionalism, and dishonesty/lies.
I will not be quiet about this, I will no longer be kept silenced by them.
My 35yr old brother died 5yrs ago because Chesterfield Royal Hospital Ridgeway nurses had no understanding of diabetes, ketoacidosis or the aggression extremely high blood sugars cause. They allowed my hallucinating brother to discharge himself with terminal kidney damage caused by blood sugars of 48mmu. He died a week later, 4 days after Christmas.
Now the same Hospital are trying to kill my father in the same way.
I spent my life protecting people from harm, even during the pandemic, after my brothers death, because I did not want anyone else to go through such pain, and now they do this, deliberately! No life lost is acceptable.

Health me or the country

I don’t know if I agree with the farmers reasoning or not, but I do agree with their right to protest, I agree that they and us should be listened to, and truly think that only direct action is even remotely viable as a form of protest with this basically neo-nazi excuse for what should be a Labour government. 

This government has after years of corrupt, cruel and murderous consecutive Conservative governments only sought to expand on the vile policies of the Tories and their bosses. It used to be the British Establishment calling the shots but now this bunch of traitors have added Mossad and Israel to its list of masters. That is absolutely Treason in the plainest of terms. #Labour #government #Fascism #hate

My current state of health according to the recent tests and my doctors insistence of me being in hospital, which I am resisting, means I am in no way certain of a tomorrow,  but I vow I will use my words to fight these vile creatures to my very last breath, whether that be later today or more likely with a little luck, in many years to come.

 Dramatic in the extreme, I know, however that’s my reality, I am told,  for today. I cannot keep a silence in the face of such continued wrongdoing. That is not my way.  If I do recover from this latest episode, which I am more than confident I will, despite the worried voices of my doctors,  I vow I will fight for people in any possible. 

Disabled sentence

The DWP are not fit for purpose. They are actively doing all they can to prevent people with disabilities and chronic health conditions, to the point of criminalising being ill.
The government along with the collusion from the BBC, ITV, C4 and Channel 5 have vilified everyone on benefits ….sorry entitlements or in actual fact the payout from the National Insurance premiums which we all pay.
Most claimants are genuine, but if seen out without a wheelchair are judged to be defrauding the country. Given that there are a significant number of hidden disabilities can you judge without being their doctor? No you truly cannot.  Yet people readily choose to do so, looking at someone for a brief moment had believing they know their entire life story.
It’s basically a system forcing such guilt upon people, that they can no longer cope and attempt, sadly too often succeed in taking their own lives,and even then are judged to be selfish, or taking the easy way out.
Disabled people live every day despite in most cases their main issue being physical, with anxiety and depression brought on by the pressure society now places upon them to be seen as being ill.
Fascism and National Socialism target the disabled early on, because it is so easy to dehumanise them to the population. Even my own adult children echo their mother’s (my very ex wife) words, and simply see me as a useless cripple that should just shuffle off and die. And they represent many people’s views upon those unable to continue to work due to health.
It’s an extremely cruel system, and identifies how much of a sham the system I paid into for several decades before I had no choice but to leave my career,  the role I had worked for, tye pride I had in my role, the extremely good wages, the choices I had every day and the respect from others and more importantly my self
My career was my life, but now my life is generally looking from my living room window at greying skies.
I do have days of some small remission, but these are not often, I cannot plan around them, and often am now too nervous to embrace them. To me being disabled in the UK is an endless prison sentence with now parole.

Change the old way

I just responded to a friend about how we now are isolated.  My view is that in the old days <before t’web> we would all meet in the pub and put the world to rights.  Covid and lockdown was the last nail for many pubs, so now it’s social media, which is openly watched, monitored and censored by the very people making the world wrong.
We cannot organise anything using mobile phones, computers, WhatsApp,  Facebook, X or any other platform. I am sure folk will bring up yge fabled “dark web”, but that’s not accessible to all, and I truly doubt anywhere near as secure as even the most gifted hacker (or nerd as I call them) would like to think.
I am sure there are sites that are not that easy to access for some security forces, but in the UK we have GCHQ, along with countless information security companies that will seek out any subversion and sell the info to whoever it benefits most.
I think it more likely there is a man in the moon who has been staying down upon us for eons, than there being a “safe place” on the Internet.
If you ever were a member of certain groups like SWP, ANL, AFA, ALF or even CND, of you were ever a steward for NUM, or any once thought of ‘radical union’ you wi have a file on you held by MI5 or some other secret government department.
If you ever voiced concern or ire over Israel, then Mossad will likely know of you. If you criticised the USA ……well
You get my point.
Anything you post will be monitored somewhere. Key words will trigger closer supervision and even control. Anything that may actually work to undermine the cruelty and corruption prevalent in the British Establishment could cause a knock upon your door, and if you were to be deemed a serious enough threat to them a holiday of undisclosed duration could be incurred.
That’s I believe why many are actually fearful of even commenting on any political post, whether they agree with it or not. They see even a like to be enough to be noticed.
Remember fear is the greatest tool for right wing government and their Establishment masters.
So when people talk about arranging a march, going on a demo, the police, the security services already have discussed it with the Cabinet and devised a plan to minimise it. It is why the only chance of revolutionary change will come from a single spark, not from an organised group.
A simple incident can ignite flames, but without true leadership soon they will be doused.
Moss Side, Toxteth and Brixton riots in the 80’s could have brought about real change, they did give rise to some positives, but there was only a general focused, nothing led in such away that it would truly change people’s perceptions.
I was a 14yr old teenager sitting in the back of my parents car, driving through Brixton as it began. I actually saw the spark, the police officers randomly attacking people as they left different pubs, or were simply walking down the street. Men and women being the victims, several police officers surrounding one person and beating them. At 14yrs old I had my first lesson of breach of trust. I saw the police in their true colours,as tools of the Establishment and absolute bullies, protected by not ethics or morality, just a black uniform.  In 1983 at 16yrs old, I was part of a strike/demonstration in Warrington. The print workers were in dispute with Eddie Shah, here I was with all the other pickets and supporters charged at by mounted police, corralled by riot shields, had brazers physically thrown at us, the crowd, by uniformed police. This was my second and never forgotten lesson in regard to British police.
Since then I have had the displeasure of having to work with many officers who hold the same attitude as these officers presented, including a very recent incident.
There are good officers, I know some, but there are still now a huge number that should never be trusted.
And they are but the foot soldiers of an extremely cruel and corrupt political system in the UK.
So in effect, unless we go back to how people organised before the Internet, word of mouth, small meetings, trusted groups, change will never happen. Whilst people are convinced by the Daily Mail, the SUN and Tiktok, no one will join.
If we want to hold onto hope of change, we need thinkers, we need leaders that can out think the huge teams emoted to keep us in our place.
So far I just see the moral and ethical, the good folk, squabbling amongst themselves, and the political representatives and their true masters lying back and laughing with their martini’s in hand.

Deep fake

Remember everything can now be faked, photos, comments and videos. Even history, but that works two ways, it means the “baddies” can claim anything was faked.
It does not mean we will not see the truth, it means we will not know it’s the truth.
Anyone with just a few skills can change or manufacture the truth, imagine what billionaires with all the assets in the world can do.
People are watching tiktok and all the videos showing unrest. The videos claim support for all sides. They often show violent uprisings, some claiming to be from mainstream news agencies,  but they may not be.
It is important we understand the context even of the most genuine of articles.
There is no easy way to recognise fakes, and almost impossible to see through deep fake technology. 
This is why social media no longer can truly be a tool for truth. It’s why we need to rethink, even devolve into how groups organised before the digital age.
We perhaps need to use pen and paper, meetings in pubs or community halls, even our homes. But most of all we need to talk, really talk to each other.
We need to work in our own communities. This is why the unions were targeted and destroyed by the Tories, why communities were wiped out, why industry in the UK was asset stripped.
The destruction of communal friends and family values was the greatest victory for the establishment. 
We need as human beings to reinvest in each other, to understand a label is valueless compared to a brother or sister, a friend or even colleague.
We need to rebuild trust, to pull back what being human truly means. We need to use our neighbourhoods to build up ties, to form networks of truth. We need to nehate the impact of ghettos, to get into our communities and neighbouring ones and show we are far more alike than those people trying to control and divide us all.
It really is that simple my friends, we don’t all share all the same views, and to a degree that’s fine, but certainly the negative ones are born from inforced fear and anger, due to us being force fed fake or twisted news.

Genocide musings

Just to be clear, Israel is not representative of “The Jewish People”. Israel is not a religion or culture. Israel is a state.

Hate for the Jewish People is a world apart from despising the actions of what now can only be described as an out of control Rogue State.

It is the political and military leaders of Israel who need to be held to account for the crimes against the Palestinian people and humanity.

I am British and have a Christian background, as in my forebears were Christian and I was “Christened’ into a Christian faith. I personally however do not support, follow or believe in any organised religion, choosing my own understanding of this existence over any written word. That is currently my ‘choice’, one of the freedoms we are permitted still in the United Kingdom.

Being British does not make me complicit with the cruelty, corruption and greed of my country’s leaders. If I see the wrongs of their actions and still support them, stay quiet or betray other humans to them, it does.

That applies to the citizens of Israel or any country too.

We as Britain the Country are complicit with Israel in the genocide being imposed upon the people of Palestine. The leaders of Britain, along with the directors of weapon platform manufacturers and munitions companies need to be held to account.

The Politicians, peers and members of the British government upon all sides of the House of Commons and Lords, who are found or suspected to have been paid, rewarded and/or bribed by representatives of the State of Israel, need investigating, charging and prosecuting for treason against the British people,  and internationally with Crimes against Humanity for their collusion and inclusion in genocide, and allowing a foreign power to have control and influence over British government policy.

The people of Israel also need to find ways to ensure their government are held to account.

Atrocities are committed in every war, you arm people with weapons and give them reason to hate and they will at times go beyond what international law, in particular the Geneva Convention allow.

If you do this with extremist leaders and claim it’s a mission in their ‘God’s name’ with no true consequences then people become murderous and cruel beyond words. They become people that any reasonable human being could recognise as evil.

This post is not some political stance, it is not exoneration for those committing atrocities on either side, and both sides do, they are all only people, and after generations of conflict there is hate upon both sides, however Israel is a westernised nuclear power, they have possibly the most efficient intelligence, espionage  and infiltration services in the world. Virtually every citizen has to undertake military training and service,

Both sides have leaders with extremist views and policies. But only one side in this conflict has the power along with the intent both share to wipe their rivals from the face of the earth.

Again I will not be silenced in my complete disdain for our so called and to be honest in my view, self appointed leaders (I think democracy never truly exists, we are given the right to put a mark on some paper, then fed the results by a media owned by those who have beyond vested interests as to who publicly is in control of the Country). I will continue to stand against them for their behaviours, including all previously stated along with what now seems to be a plan of targeted eugenics against the people of the United Kingdom itself, through cuts and the fabrication that continues to be claimed to be austerity, an excuse to divert public money away from the supporting systems of the country and it’s infrastructure. 

These are simply my musings, my thoughts upon a cruel and to be honest wickedly corrupt reality, in which we all live.

Agree, disagree, share or report, its your decision.  I write in a hope others may agree with me to some degree, and that if I and others do so, maybe, there is the slightest of chances that it will set a spark to inspire some folk to see a new path and take that direction to lead us into a better reality.

We can only live with hope, something so many have had bombed out of them.

Terrorists or activists?

In 1984 I was actively involved in standing up against apartheid in South Africa. We took direct action against corporations involved in supporting the white right wing regime.
Today we likely would be seen as  terrorists, but then we were political agitators and activists at worse.
We possibly could have been charged under public order offences or even maybe criminal damage, but we were not, we were just ushered along by GMP, some of whom maybe even respected or agreed with our actions, or maybe not lol.

Today however with the loss of our rights through consecutive Conservative governments stripping them away, with the aid of Brexit, we would be seen as terrorists. We would be subjected to arrest and even imprisonment without charge.

My problem is I, and most sensible folk, can see Israel as it truly is, not only an apartheid state, but one passionately  involved expansionism and genocide.

If people stand against Israel as we once did against South Africa, they will be treated by this pro-Isrelaeli, pro-Zionist government we now have in the harshest ways possible under new counter terrorism legislation.

We the British people are no longer allowed to have moral opinions, no longer allowed to voice our anger, no longer allowed to do what is right, whether critical of our government or their masters abroad.

Betrayal of Britain

Kier Starmerbis a traitor not just to the NHS, and the Labour Party,  members past and present, but to the entire country. This vile excuse for a man has no moral compass,  no compassion and not a socialist bone in his pampered body. We tried to out him even before the fixed leadership vote, which alienated me and many others, and ever since. He isn’t blue Labour, or even a red Tory, he is Right of the Conservative 1922 committee
He has destroyed Labour even more than Blair did. He is a germ, a truly harmful bacteria of British Politics, a true parasite of humanity. As you can see I am not his biggest fan. I would gladly watch with glee, him meet the same fate as those in history that betrayed the masses, the  people not only in Britain but throughout the World.
There is no democracy left (if there ever was) in the UK. There is currently no party that you can trust, not this Labour, not ever the Conservatives, not the betrayers of the Lib-Dems, certainly not the Right wing Musk owned puppets of the Reform UK Party.
It seems the last honest Party died with Screaming Lord Such.
We cannot continue to sit back and hope things will get better, they won’t.
The current climate is deliberately feeding and breeding Neo-Nazi views amongst anyone that will not look beyond the pathetic media lies and establishment funded social media propaganda.
So many still believing the absolute tosh of Tic Toc, of X, of Threads or even sadly Facebook.
For most of my generation and earlier the Nazis and Fascists were the baddies, the extremist, yet now so many welcome them as mainstream.

This has to end, the only questions to me are how and when?

Snow

Snow looks ace, but I am sat with my heating on in my nice warm bungeelow (like a bungalow but much more fun). Sadly the greed of corporate shareholders and CEO’s mean that many cannot afford heating, and too many even homes.
We can give all we can to the vulnerable, either directly or through charities (some of the money we donate might actually reach those in need, but sadly rarely all of it), but even then it’s very short term. May last people a week, a month or too often a night or single day.
There are countries where there is no need for charities, these countries don’t have homeless, don’t allow fuel exploitation. They are few and far between but there are some. Britain is not one of them.
It’s the greed of those with wealth in the UK (as a beginning) that needs addressing, investigating and those involved or enabling holding to account, with strong consequences for the people guilty of the immoral and corruptive behaviours.
I would call them criminals, but as most of the law makers are in this group there are no laws to break.
No one person or even family needs the amount of money these parasites have. They judge their worth in £’s €’s $’s and all the other currency they can lay their hands on.
Do they collect this wealth to help others? They will tell you they do, but the reality is they collect it to play with others, not as in inclusion but control. They collect it to feel superior and important. Tho surround their weak little minds with sycophants agreeing to all their whims.
I don’t care if we have people more materialistically wealthy than others, but when those with that kind of wealth only use it to manipulate our world to increase it further they have crossed a line.
In this current world, no individual or family should be able to buy entire towns, or even countries when we do have people dying through poverty.
No person should be building a interplanetary taxi service for the super wealthy, when our planet is dying because of their greed.
No one should be stealing our health care, our services, our support to line their pockets.
It has to stop.
So yes the snow looks lovely, it makes it look as if there is a blank canvas for a new beginning. Maybe it’s time we made that happen?
