DNA the string of daily life

The main reason folk Do Not Attend (DNA) appointments at hospital is the abhorrent and frustrating lack of parking spaces, especially for the disabled.
Taxis and Private non NHS ambulance services are terrible for blocking everyone else, including Emergency Ambulances. I get the destroyed NHS, our asset stripped NHS, the target of decades of corrupt self serving even criminal politicians needs to use Private contractors (just the same as the armed forces) such as these poorly regulated Private ambulance firms, some can be professional but all are there to profiteer from “our NHS”.
Its bad enough many hospitals still charge for parking but the cost to the NHS is astronomical.
Parking truly is the biggest issue to waiting lists, and councils sadly add to that burden, as do hospital trusts themselves by poor planning, cutting funding, relying on a destroyed privatised bus and train infrastructure and penalising anyone who has to rely on their own car.
Parking issues almost cost my dad his life, and given the hospitals will often strike off people for two or even one DNA it genuinely puts lives at risk and puts more strain upon the NHS staff, many of whom also have the same issues parking when going into work.
This is but one issue of having politicians, managers and officials with no true understanding or grasp of life’s complex issues.
To mend our society we need to work from the ground up, and hold those failing us all to account. No more leaving officials in post or worse promoting them for being incompetent.
It is that simple.
